16 Day SHAKTI YATRA – A Boutique Group Journey through South India and Self
Description
If you feel drawn to India, but want more than ordinary sightseeing — this is for you.
SHAKTI YATRA is a carefully curated boutique group journey through South India, infused with Dharma Talks, reflection, community, and experiences you won't find on a typical tour. This is a premium, small-group experience designed for those who want to travel deeply, beautifully, and with support.
This journey is not simply about sightseeing. It is not a standard group tour, and it is not Yoga in the limited sense of something practiced only on a mat. SHAKTI YATRA is deeply informed by Yoga as a living path of awareness — helping you see yourself more clearly through the mirror that India naturally holds up.
Throughout these 15 days, Dharma Talks, group reflection, and community sharing are woven into the experience so that the journey becomes more than travel. You will grow.
Many journeys to India can show you beautiful places. SHAKTI YATRA is designed not only to help you see India, but to help you see yourself.
Over 16 days, we will move through breathtaking landscapes, tea hills, temples, music, cultural experiences, and moments of real connection — while also engaging with the inner journey that naturally unfolds along the way.
I have also thoughtfully chosen and curated experiences that go beyond what ordinary tour companies tend to offer. This journey is not just a collection of destinations. It is a living, intentional arc — one designed to awaken, challenge, nourish, and connect.
My intention is that once you arrive in India, much of the journey has already been carefully held, so that you can relax into the experience and be present for it, rather than carrying the burden of planning every detail yourself.
This journey may be especially meaningful for those who:
- feel deeply curious about India
- want more than a conventional sightseeing experience
- are open to reflection, growth, and meaningful conversation
- want a guided and supported group experience
- would prefer not to navigate India alone
You do not need to have been to India before. You do not need any experience with Yoga.
If something in you feels the call, trust it.
Come. Let us walk this path together.
With love and gratitude,
VJ Bala

💬 What Past Travellers Say
'Meals in homes, singing, dancing, chai on train platforms and bus rides full of laughter – strangers became friends and then family. The offering was so abundant that transformation didn't require effort; I just had to be willing to receive. By the end of the journey I could feel spaciousness inside me – not because my life circumstances changed, but because I changed. My peace followed me home.' – Aliya
'ShaktiYatra wasn't a vacation but a pilgrimage that quietly rearranged me from the inside. India is intensity and beauty, colour and contradiction, devotion and chaos – and somehow within it all I found peace. India became the mirror.' – Joy
'VJ created something truly special – a pilgrimage through South India that felt like a living prayer, rich with colour, devotion and soul. Transformation can come through presence and remembering how sacred everyday life can be.' – Elizabeth
'VJ was an exceptional guide, sharing classical dance, martial arts, chanting, yoga philosophy and so many cultural traditions. This journey let me surrender to the experience – it was deep, informative, beautiful and comfortable all at once. It truly feels like a once-in-a-lifetime experience.' – Yelena
